A Dundee company has been named the Green Innovation Business of the Year at the BCC’s Chamber Business Awards.
The awards, now in their 22nd year, are one of the showpieces of the business calendar, highlighting the role of firms in delivering growth, prosperity and innovation across the UK.
The Green Innovation Award recognises organisations with sustainability at the heart of their business and a commitment to making the world a better and safer place.
Robertson Construction Tayside, a member of Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce, won the award after judges highlighted ‘sustainability is at the heart of the company’s strategy and values’.
Part of the wider Robertson Construction network, the Tayside team has a track record of landmark building projects across the region. The firm has a particular focus on identifying local community benefits ensuring the environment is protected.
Robertson Construction will pick up its award at a ceremony at the London Stock Exchange on 26 November – where it will also compete for the Winner of Winners Award alongside other category champions.
Sarah Howard MBE, Chair of the British Chambers of Commerce, said:
“Green innovation is front and centre of Robertson Construction’s work across Tayside, and they are worthy winners of this award. Their record of sustainable innovation is truly inspiring to others in the construction industry and the wider business community.”
