As part of the British Chambers of Commerce’s annual Chamber Business Awards 2024, a Cheshire firm has been chosen as the Local Economy of the Future Business of the Year.
The awards, now in their 21st year, are one of the showpieces of the business calendar, highlighting the role of firms in delivering growth, prosperity and innovation across the UK.
The Local Economy Award, recognises a company that has either demonstrated
exceptional levels of growth or exceptional levels of commitment to their local economy.
Tiger Trailers, a member of West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce, won the award after impressing judges with their ‘clear direction, purpose and mission’ alongside a strong contribution to their local community.
Established in 2014, Tiger Trailers is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of articulated HGV trailers and rigid bodywork. The firm more than doubled turnover between 2020 and 2023, and now has plans to expand its purpose-built factory in Winsford creating more job opportunities. They work closely with local community groups including promoting HGV safety in schools and helping to train ex-military into truck driving careers.
