As part of the British Chambers of Commerce’s annual Chamber Business Awards 2024, a Shropshire firm has been chosen as the Global Britain Business of the Year.
The awards, now in their 21st year, are one of the showpieces of the business calendar, highlighting the role of firms in delivering growth, prosperity and innovation across the UK.
The Global Britain Award, supported by UK Export Finance, recognises a business that has demonstrated significant and sustained international growth through a clear understanding of overseas markets.
Jesmonite, a member of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, won the award after impressing judges with their ‘forward looking and ambitious export led growth’.
Established in 1984 Jesmonite creates cutting edge materials for the global art and architectural markets. The company’s products are now available in 50 countries around the world with decanting and delivery hubs in Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Award judge, Carl Williamson, Director SME & Trade Finance and Co-Head of Business Group at UK Export Finance said:
