Responding to the Government’s announcements on late payments, Jonny Haseldine Policy Manager at the British Chambers of Commerce said: 

“We welcome these announcements, implementing important changes that will tackle the scourge of late payments. This unacceptable practice has a very real impact on businesses and the overall UK economy, acting as a barrier to growth for SMEs. 

“Businesses of all sizes should be paying their bills on time, and we look forward to responding to the consultation to ensure that reporting requirements are proportionate, yet effective and deliver the changes required.”
