BCC comments on Prime Minister’s vision for EU trade deal

Commenting on the Prime Minister’s speech in London today, in which he outlines his view for a future trade deal with the European Union, BCC Director General Adam Marshall, said:

“Business communities want the negotiations to succeed, and are ready to contribute their expertise to inform the tough choices ahead.

The outcomes of these negotiations matter hugely to firms across the UK.

“Businesses are pragmatic and understand that there will be change ahead. However, they still have many questions - whose answers will have an impact on costs and investment plans for a number of years to come.”
