As part of the British Chambers of Commerce’s annual Chamber Business Awards 2023, a technology company has won the Global Player award thanks to the worldwide demand for its online booking service.
The awards, now in their 20th year, are one of the showpieces of the business calendar, highlighting the role of firms in delivering growth and prosperity for the UK and local communities. The Global Player award recognises the work of a business that has demonstrated significant and sustained growth internationally through harnessing the opportunity of overseas markets, proving that exporting can power business growth.
Appointedd, a member of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has gained acclaim for the flexibility of the advanced technology in its digital booking service. The firm operates in 167 countries across the world, serving both small and large enterprises. In the two years from April 2020, it has seen the number of users of its platform surge by more than 125%, with enterprise clients, increasing by more than 225%.
Sarah Howard, Chair of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) said:
“When a firm is operating in 167 countries around the world then it is a truly global business. It is clear that Appointedd has not been resting on its laurels as it has continued to expand. They have worked hard to adapt their system for other countries – introducing five new languages to their platform and adapting it for different time zones. It is a truly great example of how innovative UK firms with the right ideas and products can make their mark in a competitive global market.”
