Following publication of the Trade (Australia and New Zealand) Bill, to help approve the two new UK free trade agreements with those countries, William Bain, Head of Trade Policy at the BCC, said:
“These two free trade deals will offer improved trading terms for UK exporters once in force later this year or early next.
“Alongside the changes in the UK’s tariffs, and ratification of the entire deal, this new Bill is also important for changes in procurement rules.
“We urge MPs and peers to support this Bill as it proceeds through Parliament so that exporters across the UK can take advantage of the new trade preferences which both deals will provide.”
