Odonata International Limited, trading as SNOAP, has won the Green Innovation Award at the British Chambers of Commerce Chamber Business Awards 2026.
The Chamber Business Awards recognise and celebrate business excellence through the successes and achievements of members of the Chamber of Commerce network.
SNOAP, a member of Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid, was recognised for its patented refillable solid-soap dispensing system, which supplies the convenience of liquid hand wash without a single-use plastic bottle.
The dispenser grates a solid bar into a fine powder and uses natural, biodegradable soap. Each refill can replace up to 20 single-use bottles and provide around 1,000 hand washes.
The company says the system has less than 10% of the carbon footprint of liquid washes.
During the past 12 months, SNOAP has prevented more than 10 tonnes of plastic waste, equivalent to around 900,000 single-use bottles. The business has expanded across consumer, retail and business markets, and its founder received offers from all five investors after presenting the product on Dragons’ Den.
Shevaun Haviland, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, said:
“SNOAP has taken an everyday source of waste and created a simple, practical alternative with the potential to scale. Its innovation makes the greener choice easier without asking users to sacrifice convenience. The amount of plastic already avoided shows the impact that a determined small business can achieve through strong design and a clear environmental purpose.”
Lisa Hicks, Founder and CEO at SNOAP, said:
“We are thrilled to receive the Green Innovation Award. SNOAP began with a simple question about how we could reduce the plastic waste created by everyday washing products. This award recognises the persistence behind developing a genuinely practical alternative, and we hope it will help more households and organisations make refillable washing part of everyday life.”
