Kimal Wins Global Britain Award

Kimal PLC has won the Global Britain Award at the British Chambers of Commerce Chamber Business Awards 2026.

The Chamber Business Awards recognise and celebrate business excellence through the successes and achievements of members of the Chamber of Commerce network.

Kimal, a member of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, was recognised for more than 60 years of international growth as a UK manufacturer and supplier of specialist medical devices, with products now sold in over 70 countries.

Over the past three years, export sales have risen from £17 million to £25 million. International markets now account for 35% of turnover and half of sales of manufactured products, while overall turnover grew from £66.1 million in 2024 to £73.3 million in 2025.

The company operates sales teams in France and subsidiaries in Germany, Egypt and the UAE, supported by an international customer service team in the UK. It has invested more than £1 million in its Bromsgrove manufacturing facility, expanded a wholly owned manufacturing operation in Cairo and moved into a logistics facility that has trebled distribution capacity.

Shevaun Haviland, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, said:

“Kimal shows how British manufacturing can compete and grow in demanding global markets. Its success is built on specialist products, long-term partnerships and continued investment in people, production and regulatory expertise. The growth in exports strengthens the business at home while reinforcing the UK’s international reputation for advanced medical technology.”

Ben Press, Corporate Development Associate at Kimal, said:

“Winning the Global Britain Award is a tremendous honour for everyone at Kimal. Our international growth has been built through trusted partnerships, clinical expertise and a long-term commitment to quality and innovation. We are proud to manufacture in the UK, invest in our people and take specialist medical technologies to healthcare providers around the world.”
