Charlotte Horobin, Chief Executive Officer of Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce, has been named the UK winner of the British Chambers of Commerce President’s Award 2026.
The Chamber Awards are a highlight of the business calendar, celebrating the people and organisations that strengthen the Chamber Network and help companies grow and prosper.
This year’s awards have been organised with support by Quest. It provides outsourced HR, health and safety, employment law and business compliance support to organisations across the UK.
Charlotte was recognised for transforming her Chamber’s finances, influence and ambition since becoming Chief Executive in July 2023. She took an organisation making a financial loss into consecutive years of surplus, while investing in its brand and digital infrastructure.
Under her leadership, patron numbers have increased by 375% and membership numbers by 7%. She has also strengthened the Chamber’s policy influence, international activity and strategic role in skills, while building its profile with regional and national decision-makers.
On receiving her award, Charlotte said:
“This is the icing on the cake for everything the Chamber has achieved, it reflects the enormous amount of work put in by the whole team. We’ve been ambitious about strengthening the Chamber, growing the value we provide to members and ensuring the voice of our business community is heard locally, nationally and internationally.”
