ONS data shows there was a pick-up in some export sectors in goods trade with the EU. Services also remained steady for a further month. But other indicators for November were weak.

This Agreement creates new opportunities based upon mutual recognition, while preserving regulatory autonomy in those affected sectors of financial services.

While it is good to see goods exports picking up in the Indo-Pacific region, the second successive big drop to the EU is a major concern.

An improved trade deal with South Korea could deliver for the UK’s food and drink sector, manufacturing companies and services providers, as well as locking in record inward investment into the UK.

This will allow for EU content in UK exports to Mexico to continue to form part of longstanding supply and sourcing chains without tariffs being applied.
