The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce has over 1,600 members and works closely with all areas of the business community offering a wide range of services in order to support and assist our members in their drive towards enterprise and success.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, highly motivated person to our team who can engage with people at all levels of business, particularly those at senior level. A good understanding of business issues and the role of Chambers of Commerce will be an advantage, as would a proven record in a membership or B2B sales environment.
You will be responsible for growing the Chamber’s membership base with a particular focus on developing new business relationships, as well as generating new income for the Chamber of Commerce.
Although you will work closely with other departments, the ability to work without direct supervision and use your own initiative will be crucial. Given the nature of the job you must also have a flexible approach and be willing to work outside normal office hours as required.
Applicants must be qualified to drive and possess their own vehicle.
Key Duties:
- The recruitment of new members/patron members to the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce to an agreed monthly target and budget.
- Working with team members in developing marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Presenting the Chamber to potential members through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls, emails and group meetings.
- Responsible for achieving lead generation and appointment setting.
- Actively promoting and encouraging businesses to engage with the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) initiative for Lancashire.
- Generate, respond to, and follow up sales enquiries by post, email, telephone, and personal visits.
- Responsible for credit control for any outstanding membership subscriptions in accordance with company procedures.
- Attending a mixture of networking events/exhibitions/industry events and trade shows to generate leads, appointments and new members.
- Keep abreast of business issues, collect competitor intelligence and ensure NWLCC remains proactive and responsive to prospective members.
- Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and productivity to ensure best use of management time.
Sovereign Beverage Company Limited (SBC) is currently in search of a proficient and driven individual to join our team as an Export Administrator on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will be tasked with meticulously managing end-to-end order processing and ensuring precise documentation for the global distribution of our products. The focus will be on maintaining exceptional customer service and satisfaction throughout the process. Working with all the major UK breweries, Sovereign Beverage Company have a presence in 70 markets throughout the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the entire order process
- Providing regular updates and communication to customers
- Addressing all customer inquiries promptly and effectively
- Monitoring customer feedback and escalating pertinent issues
- Generating accurate reports, data, and analysis as needed
- Updating and managing product information within our systems
- Ensuring timely preparation and distribution of documentation
- Communicating with customers, suppliers and freight forwarders
Candidate Attributes:
- Outgoing and positive demeanour with a proactive attitude
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to foster relationships effortlessly
- Strong attention to detail coupled with accuracy and efficiency
- The ability to be able to work independently, effectively managing day to day responsibilities.
- Previous experience in sales order processing is advantageous, but training will be provided for our bespoke systems
- Background in office administration and Microsoft Office preferable
SBC operates a work-from-home policy, supplemented by dedicated training sessions and monthly meetings to foster team cohesion. Our calendar includes several company social events annually. You’ll enjoy 25 days of holiday leave, extra time off during Christmas when business allows, as well as bank holidays. Benefits include health coverage and death in service coverage and pension. Moreover, there are opportunities for career advancement within the company. Starting salary ranges from £24,000 to £26,000.
