CASE STUDIES
Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce
Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce continues to strengthen its support for globally-minded businesses through its International Trade Forums, which provide a valuable platform for companies to connect, share insights, and stay informed on the latest international trade developments.
These forums bring together exporters, importers, and trade professionals to discuss market opportunities, regulatory changes, and best practices, fostering a collaborative environment for business growth and global expansion.
In response to evolving international regulations, the Chamber has adopted a new CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) support service. This service is designed to help businesses understand and comply with the EU’s CBAM requirements, which aim to reduce carbon leakage by placing a carbon price on certain imports. With this new service, companies can access expert guidance, stay compliant, and adapt their trade practices in line with sustainability goals and international standards.
Further enhancing its support offering, the Chamber has expanded its portfolio with new BiteSized International Trade Training courses. These short, focused sessions are tailored to meet the needs of busy professionals seeking practical, up-to-date knowledge on key areas of international trade, including documentation, customs procedures, Incoterms, and more. The BiteSized format allows participants to quickly build confidence and competence, whether they are new to global trade or looking to refresh their skills.
Together, these initiatives reinforce the Chamber’s commitment to empowering local businesses to succeed on the international stage, providing them with the tools, knowledge, and networks needed to thrive in a complex global marketplace.
