Export Support Programme Overview

Liverpool Chamber has been delivering the Liverpool City Region Export Support Programme under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. As part of this initiative, we have engaged with a wide range of businesses across the region, each with export growth as a central focus of their operations.

Through these engagements, we have explored the strengths and development opportunities of participating businesses. To date, we have completed over 100 Business Diagnostics, enabling us to facilitate valuable connections and introductions that support international trade.

Where appropriate, we have also recommended eligible businesses for a match-funded export grant, helping them to accelerate their global reach and competitiveness.

AM Technology, a manufacturing company based in Halton, specialises in continuous flow reactions and the development of chemical plants for the fine chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

To support their export growth, the company identified the need to attend key industry conferences and trade shows. These events are vital for networking with relevant stakeholders and staying informed on the latest industry developments. However, budget constraints have limited their ability to pursue these opportunities.

Thanks to the support provided through the Liverpool City Region Shared Prosperity Fund (LSPF) and a recommendation from Liverpool Chamber, AM Technology was able to attend “Flow Chemistry India 2025″ and “CPI 2025” alongside 3 separate customer site visits.

“The funding definitely allowed us to make this a much larger and impactful trip than it would otherwise have been. Still uploading all the leads into their CRM, but there’s definitely at least an extra £2.4m going into the pipeline based on this trip”.

The Webinar Vet, leading provider of training for veterinary professionals with an innovative online platform trusted by over 230K users worldwide. They partner with leading veterinary organisations and companies to deliver high-quality, relevant education that meets the profession’s evolving needs.

With Liverpool Chamber’s support and referral to the Liverpool City Region Shared Prosperity Fund (LSPF) they attended in January Veterinary Meeting & Expo (VMX).  Largest veterinary show in the US.

“It helped build connections with potential customers and raise our brand awareness in the US.  The potential huge market to help us scale.  It achieved the desired aims and we are growing in that territory and in Jan 26 we are returning to build on 2025”

Export support of this kind and the Chamber’s deep knowledge of the local business community, forms a collaborative team that drives success for companies. Together, they unlock new market opportunities and deliver measurable returns on investment—clearly demonstrating the value of coordinated efforts in advancing regional export growth

Wynne Aviation Services,  a global logistics specialist based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, has successfully expanded into Alberta, Canada, unlocking a new market rich with commercial opportunities.

With strategic guidance from Liverpool Chamber, Wynne Aviation was recommended for an export grant available through the Liverpool City Region, enabling the company to establish new partnerships, collaborate with Canadian airlines, explore opening a Wynne branch in Alberta and identify and nurture both existing and new customer relationships.

Wynne Aviation’s cargo portfolio includes perishables, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, defence equipment, nutraceuticals, and metals, making their expansion particularly valuable for enhancing the speed and efficiency of goods movement from the North West to North America.

The support received has positioned Wynne Aviation for sustained growth in Canada, reinforcing Liverpool’s role as a hub for international trade and logistics.
