Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs)

The BCC is delighted to be working with the accredited Chambers of Commerce who are piloting Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) in their areas. LSIPs are putting the voice of local employers at the heart of the learning and skills system. This project is funded by The Department for Education and is a part of the Skills Accelerator programme.

The Accredited Chambers of Commerce leading LSIPs are:

  • Cumbria Chamber of Commerce (Cumbria)
  • North-East England Chamber of Commerce (Tees Valley)
  • Doncaster Chamber working with Sheffield and Barnsley & Rotherham Chambers of Commerce (South Yorkshire)
  • North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce working with East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce (Lancashire)
  • East Midlands Chamber (Leicester and Leicestershire)
  • Business West (West of England Plus)
  • Sussex Chamber of Commerce (East and West Sussex)
  • Kent Invicta Chamber (Kent & Medway)
