BCC comments on Shared Rural Network

Commenting on the announcement that the government backs industry plans to build a Shared Rural Network, BCC's Director of Policy, Mike Spicer, said:

“Poor mobile phone coverage impacts productivity and the ability of businesses to connect with customers, suppliers and staff.

“The BCC has long and loudly-called for action to tackle mobile ‘not spots’, so it’s a big step forward that government has now backed industry plans to build a Shared Rural Network.

“Once built, the Network will transform signal coverage for millions and boost business growth right across the country.”
