Appointedd, members of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, are the National Winners of the Global Player award at the Chamber Business Awards 2023. 

They are a globally recognised online booking and scheduling solution that has gained acclaim for its advanced technology. Renowned brands including Harrods, Moss Bros, M&S and Victoria’s Secret trust Appointedd to save time, boost revenue, and provide seamless booking experiences for their customers. Since its inception in 2011, Appointedd has empowered users worldwide to schedule anything, anywhere with just two taps, making flexibility a core value. 

Appointedd operates in 167 countries, serving both small and large enterprises. It has formed strong partnerships with leading companies, such as Mamas & Papas, Frasers Group, Charlotte Tilbury, Charles Tyrwhitt, and Buff City Soap, as well as two of the Big Four accounting firms. 

Over the past two years, Appointedd has experienced remarkable growth. The number of users has surged by over 125%, and enterprise clients have increased by over 225% between April 2020 and April 2022. Moreover, the company’s revenue has grown by 74% year on year until February 2022, with continued projected growth. 

To cater to a wider market, Appointedd has invested in new product features. The company introduced ten additional languages, enabling users to utilise the platform in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Hindi, Swedish, Finnish, and Arabic. Furthermore, Appointedd developed infrastructure that facilitates the addition of new languages as needed.

The product’s front-facing interface automatically adjusts to multiple languages and adapts to the end-user’s timezone – essential for multinational businesses. Moving forward, Appointedd continues to consider its expanding international presence when developing new features.  

Appointedd dedicates resources to sales and marketing outreach in foreign markets. Over the past year, the company ran international marketing campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and social media, with the U.S and Middle East being of particular focus. Appointedd also plans to create localised versions of its website for markets that offer significant opportunities in the coming years.  

Appointedd’s international growth strategy has resulted in partnerships with enterprise clients in the U.S., Scandinavia, Japan, Australia and many other countries. The company actively attracts prospects with connections to multiple countries, as 45% of its enterprise clients operate in more than one country, or outside of the UK. In new contracts with international clients, Appointedd strives to ensure that the client will assist in providing access to new contacts within their respective markets.  

Within Europe, Appointedd has onboarded Musti Group, a prominent pet company based in the Nordic region. Contacts at Musti serve as ambassadors for Appointedd, introducing the sales team to their connections in the Nordics.  

In the U.S. and Middle East, Appointedd has a valuable opportunity to expand its presence in the automotive industry. Additionally, the luxury beauty industry remains one of Appointedd’s strong suits, with a renowned luxury beauty client in Japan incorporating Appointedd into its internal suppliers scheme. Leveraging the knowledge gained from working with this client, and utilising their network, Appointedd aims to continue expanding in the Asia-Pacific region.  

Through its award-winning technology, strategic partnerships, and focus on global growth, Appointedd has positioned itself as a leading online booking and scheduling solution. They are a worthy winner of the Global Player award at this year’s Chamber Business Awards.

Company Growth

On the back of the success of the brewery site and events, Dal then set his sights on expanding both the range of products on offer and the footprint of the business. In December 2021, Dal agreed a 20-year lease on Christchurch Spire in Coventry city centre. The unique venue serves Dhillon’s beers and ales on tap, as well as offering hot drinks and food, to create a family friendly environment.

Dhillon’s next venture was the Sky Blue Tavern, a brand-new sports bar in the city centre, in partnership with Coventry City Football Club. The Tavern is a hub for Sky Blues fans to meet and enjoy a drink, whether on matchdays or non-matchdays, and helps to generate revenue and support for the club. As one of the only dedicated sports bars in Coventry, football and sports fans can watch the latest action on big screens and in individual booths.

Dhillon’s Brewery have now also secured several catering contracts, including with Historic Coventry Trust, where they provide food and beverage operations at the historic Drapers’ Hall, as well as at other Trust locations.

The company’s vision and long-term growth plan continues to be focused on its close association with Coventry whilst securing further locations and contracts, to build a sustainable, profitable business model whilst continuing Dal’s original passion for brewing beautifully crafted beer.
