Young Chamber
Since its inception in 2002 YOUNG CHAMBER has developed across the country to become one of the most significant frameworks for student/business engagement.
By utilizing the Chamber of Commerce network schools get a direct line of contact with businesses in their local area. A Young Chamber Council, set up in the school, puts together its own timetable of events based on what students want. Working with their local Young Chamber coordinator contacts are made within their local business community and the enterprise-based events are planned. It’s a simple concept providing business people with the flexibility they need to become involved at whatever level is possible.
This exciting initiative provides a genuine framework for students to consider work and job opportunities for the future. It also allows businesses to meet and talk directly to young people - which is an experience many benefit from and all enjoy.
Young Chamber continues to develop innovative ways of both encouraging and challenging young people to think about their futures. This will includes new online facilities that will utilize internet technology and communication, allowing students to co-ordinate research, refer to lots of video-based resources, communicate with friends and be entertained.
