Commenting on the consultation to build better links between business and universities, announced today, Nick Dines, Head of Communications at the British Chambers of Commerce, said:

"A business-led focus to higher education is the correct course of action if we are ever going to plug the UK's current skills gap and make up lost ground to China and India. However, whilst we support the purpose behind today's announcement, the time has come to turn words and consultation into tangible results for businesses."
