The British Chambers of Commerce is pledging its support for the third annual VQ Day and is urging employers to get involved in this year’s celebrations.
VQ Day 2010, which will take place this year on 23 June, is the third annual celebration of the people who gain vocational qualifications every year. By working with partners spanning the vocational qualifications industry, VQ Day will raise the stature and demonstrate the benefits of practical and vocational qualifications to future learners, employers, opinion formers and the wider public.
VQ Day 2010 will be celebrated by national events in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast, as well as with other events held by colleges and learning providers throughout the UK. Employers can get involved with the celebrations by hosting events with their local colleges, promote VQ Day within their organisation, nominating employees for the VQ Learner of the Year Awards or participating in the London event. Further information is available on www.vqday.org.
