Government must stand firm and not allow Temporary Agency Bill to become law

22/02/08 | 14:22

Chris Hannant, Head of Policy at the British Chambers of Commerce, said:

"It is important that the Government stands firm and does not allow legislation it has successfully blocked in Europe to come into law through the UK Parliament.

"The UK’s temporary sector is crucial for business competitiveness and is a form of work favoured by many employees. This Bill is an unnecessary measure, which would harm the job prospects of the very people it seeks to protect."
