Business welcomes new regulatory reform Chair
03/12/09 | 12:06
Sir Donald Curry will be the new Non-Executive Chair of the Better Regulation Executive. Commenting on the appointment, David Frost, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), said:
"Better regulation is absolutely vital to UK businesses and it’s even more important while the economic outlook remains uncertain. Companies need the freedom to drive our economic recovery, and taking proper account of regulation - with a view to reducing the red tape burden - will help achieve this.
“It is crucial for business to be represented at the heart of the reform agenda, and the BCC will work with Sir Donald to raise the concerns of firms up and down the country."
