“The Universal Service Obligation will be supported by business communities across the country, particularly in rural areas, who have been starved of reliable broadband connectivity.

“Ensuring that this is rolled out effectively will boost productivity, through both offices and home-based workers. However, it is vital that the government provides clarity on the mechanisms that will be in place for businesses and consumers to demand a speed of at least 10Mbps by 2020, to avoid confusion and delay going forward.”
