American franchisors spark UK interest

Budding franchisees will have the chance to view a whole range of different business opportunities across various sectors this week.
The annual Franchise Show takes place at the Excel London on the 12th and 13th of February and will exhibit more than 150 different franchise opportunities.
The show organisers say there is growing interest in taking established American franchise brands and adapting them for the UK market.
“Franchising originated in the United States, so it was only a matter of time before more of its concepts arrived on our shores,” said Simon Chicken, Franchise Show director.
“We’re making concerted efforts to bring opportunities from all across the world, but no-one can help getting particularly excited by American brands.”
As well as view exhibitions by the various franchisors, delegates can attend seminars hosted by industry experts speaking on subjects such as how to buy a franchise, and expanding overseas.
