EU's Small Business Act not the radical shift small firms were expecting
25/06/08 | 14:37
Commenting on the European Commission's Small Business Act for Europe, published today, David Frost, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, said:
"The desire to think small first is a welcome development but this publication is unlikely to produce the shift in policy we were led to expect.
"This is a mish-mash of watered down proposals and initiatives with a questionable amount of political will attached to it from the member states. There are some useful aspects here, such as a dedicated test for small firms in all EU impact assessments, but there's very little else."
